在创立十周年之际，OpenArt 终于迎来了第一个线下实体空间。这一最初在上海创立的艺术项目，将在洛杉矶市中心开启它的首个驻地空间。

该驻地项目旨在为有志于了解和探索洛杉矶艺术生态的艺术家提供创作和展示作品的空间。OpenArt Space 位于洛杉矶市中心一栋百年历史建筑内，毗邻众多艺术家运营的空间、工作室和画廊，为驻地艺术家提供优良的创作氛围与交流机会。

LA Residency 洛杉矶艺术驻地项目将为艺术家提供1-3个月的工作室空间（350平方英尺/约32.5平方米）。艺术家可在驻地结束时选择举办开放工作室活动，也可单纯利用驻地的空间和时间进行独立研究项目。OpenArt Space 将为艺术家提供洛杉矶艺术生态的相关信息与作品制作资源支持，旨在为艺术家创造与洛杉矶艺术生态交流互动的平台。

入选的驻地艺术家有机会受邀参与艺术访谈，并在 OpenArt 的官网与社交媒体平台上以中英双语形式发布创作介绍。

费用说明

驻地项目收取每月 1,300 美元的驻地费用，每年提供一定数量的奖学金补助名额。如需申请奖学金补助，请在申请时注明。

驻地费用仅包括工作室使用费，艺术家需自行承担交通、住宿、材料费等其他费用。

LA Residency Program

As OpenArt celebrates its 10th anniversary, we are excited to announce our first physical space. This art project, originally founded in Shanghai, is now launching its inaugural residency space in downtown Los Angeles.

The residency program aims to provide a creative and exhibition space for artists interested in understanding and exploring the LA art ecosystem. Located in a century-old building in downtown Los Angeles, OpenArt Space is surrounded by numerous artist-run spaces, studios, and galleries, offering resident artists an excellent creative atmosphere and networking opportunities.

Program Details

The LA Residency Program provides artists with 1-3 months of studio space (350 sq ft / approximately 32.5 sqm). Artists may choose to hold an open studio event at the end of their residency or simply utilize the space and time for independent research projects. OpenArt Space will provide artists with information about the LA art ecosystem and resources for artwork production, aiming to create a platform for artists to engage with the local art community.

Selected resident artists will have the opportunity to be invited for art interviews and featured in bilingual introductions on OpenArt's website and social media platforms.

Program Focus

The LA Residency Program particularly encourages experimental and research-based practices, studies of craftsmanship and materials, as well as writing and publishing projects.

Fee Structure

The residency program charges $1,300 per month for residency fees. A limited number of scholarship grants are available each year. Please indicate if you need to apply for scholarship support when submitting your application.

The residency fee only covers studio usage. Artists are responsible for their own transportation, accommodation, materials, and other expenses.
